How we clean a roof without ever pressure washing it
Our moss removal system is optimized to remove stubborn roof moss without damaging composite shingles by careful, precise brushing followed by air blowing which removes up to 98% of the moss. The anti-moss treatment eliminates any remaining moss residue and destroys its root systems. Our system is so effective that we can confidently offer a 2-year warranty on all moss removal services.
Moss removal
We believe that we have the best moss removal product in the PNW. A technique learned through hard work and experience on countless moss-infested roofs. Precise brushing of the moss is most effective to get all of the moss off and preserve the roof. Although a chemical spray can kill moss quickly, it will not remove the built-up moss and debris between the shingles. It's time to get mean on the green and make that roof clean.
Air blow / rinse
After all of the debris and moss have been knocked loose and cleared from all the cracks and crevices, we properly use an air blower to clear the roof. Depending on the severity of moss, there may be a need to rinse the roof with a regular low-pressure hose to get rid of dirt residue. This will help prevent the regrowth of moss. This also makes the roof look great.
Treatment
When we treat, we treat to kill (moss). This is an extremely important part of the deep clean process and just regular maintenance. We use an all natural, non-chemical moss treatment that won't harm any plants or animals. It works over time, killing moss to the root and preventing it from growing again.
Yes, you should be concerned about pressure washing your composite roof. Too much water pressure can damage shingles, void warranties, and get excess water where it doesn't need to be. Grace Roof Cleaning offers a flat $99 gutter cleaning through our GUTTER DONE program for qualifying homes: single story, maximum 1,500 square feet. Larger or multi-story homes are quoted individually. Call (425) 327-6871 to see whether your home qualifies.
Do you pressure wash roofs?
No. We never pressure wash roofs. Too much water pressure can damage shingles, void warranties, and force water where it does not belong. Instead we use precision brushing to lift moss out of the shingle crevices. We do pressure wash concrete, for patios, walkways, and driveways, as a licensed general contractor.
Is the moss treatment safe for pets, kids, and plants?
Yes. We use an all natural, non-chemical moss treatment that won't harm any plants or animals.
Why not just spray chemicals on the moss?

Do you trim trees that overhang the roof?
Yes. Overhanging branches feed moss growth and drop debris onto your roof and into your gutters. We offer tree pruning as part of our roof cleaning service, so you save the cost and hassle of hiring a separate tree company.
Can you stop my gutters from clogging again?
Yes. We install cost-effective gutter guards or strainers that prevent clogs; simple, effective, affordable products chosen to suit your budget and your home. We give you a recommendation at the time of cleaning.
